New Talentado Champion Cedie

Nakakalungkot na after 9 rounds, ay sa tenth night pa natalo si Joseph the Artist. I had followed all his acts in Talentadong Pinoy, and I agree with the judges na parang kulang yung ipinakita niya last April 18 episode. Sayang talaga! Hall of Famer na sana siya, kung ginalingan nya that night. He should have thought of a Masterpiece.
Well, magaling naman yung Bagong Talentado Champion na si Cedie, but I think mas madali siyang mapapalitan. Marami na kasing magagaling na Filipino singers.

Daisy Siete Adam or Eve

Sex Bomb Girls' Daisy Siete “Adam or Eve” started to air yesterday afternoon after Eat Bulaga, April 5, 2010 under GMA-7, with again lead star Rochelle Pangilinan.
Sa Adam Or Eve ay dalawang katauhan ang gagampanan ni Rochelle, ang kambal na isang babae at isand lalaki na sina Rochelle at Andrew.
Si Rochelle ay pinalaki ng istriktong tiyahin niya sa probinsya at magiging miyembro ng isang choir. Habang si Andrew ay pinalaki ng uncle niya sa Maynila at magiging lead guitarist ng isang Boy Band.
May masamang mangyayari kay Anrdew kaya susubukan ni Rochelle na mangpanggap bilang si Andrew at dito magsisimula ang excitement sa kwento.

Joseph the Artist

Joseph the Artist reached its forth win on Talentadong Pinoy last Sunday. He's really great. He manages to make wonderful art from sand in less than two minutes.On his first time to compete, his art was a romantic scene, on his the second was faces of animals, on his third time was a scene of the crucifixion, and a mother's portrait on his forth time. I am very eager to see what will be his next art on Saturday so that he can make it to the Hall of Famer. Good luck Joseph. You really are a "Talentadong Pinoy"

Born to Be Wild

Kiko Rustia, on its March 18 episode, visits a community that lives on catching and selling fishes including seahorse. Kiko talks about the life of seahorses.

As they are poor swimmers, they are most likely to be found resting in beds of sea grass or coral reefs, with their tails wound around a stationary object.
Seahorses are monogamous..The male seahorse is equipped with a brood pouch.When mating, the female seahorse deposits the eggs in the male's pouch, which the male then internally fertilizes. The male carries the eggs until they emerge, expelling fully-developed, miniature seahorses in the water.
Seahorse populations are said to be endangered by overfishing and habitat destruction. They are being sold to be used in traditional Chinese herbology.
To educate the people about the seahorse and the possible effects of overfishing, Kiko invited some reliable people to discuss things about the seahorse and how to prevent it from being extinct.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ferds Recio talk about the wild animals that are trying to live with us in the city.

'Diva' The Kantaserye

“Diva” is the first ever kantaserye on Philippine television. Nakakatuwa ang pagiging dreamer dito ni Regine Velasquez. Nakikita ko ang sarili ko when I dream of some things na parang impossibleng makuha. Medyo exagerated nga lang 'yung pagpapakita ng mga daydreams ni Sam na madalas nagmumukha siyang baliw, at doon naman nagiging funny yung show.

Regine Velasquez portrays the role of Sampaguita (Sam), an ugly woman who dreams of becoming a famous singer someday.

Mark Anthony Fernandez is Gary, Sam’s childhood friend. A good lyricist and a good writer, Gary’s goal is to find the woman who can sing the song of his heart.

TJ Trinidad is Martin, a rich and charming composer who happens to be the love interest of Sam.

Rufa Mae Quinto is Lady, a model who becomes a singer despite her lack of talent. Sam will be her ghost singer and eventually her rival. Lady will make Sam’s life miserable.

Glaiza de Castro is Tiffany, Lady’s personal assistant who will eventually become a singer and become Sam’s “kontra-diva.”

Jaya is Barbra, Sam’s bestfriend and sidekick

Mark Herras is Smith, Sam’s half-brother.

Ynna Asistio is Vanessa, the neighbor of Sam who has a big crush on Smith.

Buboy Garovillo is Elvis, the loving father of Sam.

Randy Santiago is George, an executive producer of a recording company who will give Sam the opportunity to become a diva

Gloria Diaz is Paula, the mother of Sam. A frustrated singer/actress who blames her ugly daughter for losing opportunity in showbiz.

This series is directed by Dominic Zapata, the same director of Regine and Mark Anthony’s “Ako si Kim Samsoon.”

SRO Sinemaserye Presents Hot Mama

Last March 11, SRO Sinemaserye presents Hot Mama aired the first part of its four-part episode.Seasoned comedienne Eugene Domingo together with her gorgeous leading man Wendell Ramos leads the series. Under the direction of Joel Lamangan, this comedy series also star Maureen Larrazabal, Victor Aliwalas, Ces Quesada, Joseph Smisek and Janna Dominguez.

Eugene plays the role of Dr. Lola Cardenas, an alluring psychiatrist/sex therapist popularly known as Hot Mama. She hosts a late night radio program where she gives sex and relationship advice to callers who ask questions about love and intimacy.
Lola displays a very liberal and open-minded personality as Hot Mama but unknown to many, she’s an old maid who leads a simple and carefree life. Despite being an expert sex therapist, Lola doesn’t have a sparking sex life and worse, she hasn’t found her Mr. Right yet.
Hot Mama is single, lonely and desperate for love. She soon finds herself obsessed with Bruce (Victor Aliwalas), her executive producer/friend. But, he is already in love with her cousin/manager Mari (Maureen Larrazabal).
Devastated for being loveless, Hot Mama focuses her attention on her career and keeps herself busy by using the social networking site Facebook. Here, she meets Randy, one of her avid fans from Cebu.
Lola is intrigued with Randy and after a while, a special friendship develops between them.
Randy is extremely excited to finally see her in person. But Hot Mama doesn’t want him to meet the real Lola. She is not confident that people would see and accept her as plain Lola.
The first episode ended when Randy suddenly showed up in the Radio Station to meet Hot Mama.

Pacquiao win over Clottey

Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines will face former titleholder Joshua Clottey of Ghana in a world welterwieght boxing match at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday night (HBO PPV) in a fight titled " The Event" at around 8 AM March 14 (Philippine time) . A lot of people are excited to see this fight.
After reading some articles about these two fighters, I am very confident to say that, Manny Pacquiao will win over Clottey.

Talentadong Pinoy Battle of the Champions

Last Saturday, Talentadong Pinoy of TV5 had it's First Battle of The Champions. Seven Hall of Famers compete for the Title "First Ultimate Talentado" They are:

The Jury were Odie Gemora, Joey Reyes, Joey De Leon, Ruffa Guttierez, Alessanra Da Rossi and Judy Ann Santos. The scores of these special jury comprised 50% of the total score while the other 50% came from text votes.
Yoyo Tricker was named First Ultimate Talentado.

The show was really great, aside from the great performances of the Talentadong Pinoys, several other artist added color to the show such as Kuh Ledesma, Sandwich, Bamboo, Regine Tolentino,etc.

Full House

FULL HOUSE ,GMA-7's Pinoy adaptation of one of Korea’s all-time favorite TV series, will soon come to it's end.

In this , series, the most sought-after actor of his generation, Richard Gutierrez and FAMAS Best Actress Heart Evangelista breathe life to Justin and Jessie, two opposing personalities who, through a series of comedic events, meet and end up sharing more than what they bargained for in the first place.
Here, Richard played the part originally played by famous actor Rain while Heart, on the other hand, took the character played by actress Song Hye Kyo

Justin, a famous actor, was scheduled to shoot an international movie in Prague. Right at the same time, Jessie, a struggling wannabe-writer, presumably won an all-expense paid trip to the same destination.By a twist of fate, the two find themselves seated beside each other on the plane.

Upon their arrival, Jessie discovers that the trip is actually a hoax arranged by her brother Donald (Rainier Castillo). She intended to seek help from Luigi (Patrick Garcia), Justin’s visiting friend whom she met at the hotel, but he has left the country already. With no one else to turn to, Jessie borrowed some cash from Justin after fooling him into thinking that Luigi is her ex-boyfriend.

Jessie eventually comes home to an empty house and an empty bank account. Worse, she finds out that her brother had already sold their house to its new owner, Justin. Jessie refuses to give up her house and so does Justin as he had already paid for it in full. So they came to an agreement: Jessie, now that she is beholden to Justin, will work as Justin’s maid in order to pay off her debt and eventually buy her house back.

Things go as planned until Justin gets himself involved in another controversy after trying to make Elaine (Isabel Oli), the woman he’s been secretly in love with, jealous. To save his showbiz career, Justin is now forced to marry Jessie - but only on paper. Their resulting agreement sets off a series of outrageously amusing events that eventually lead them to the inevitable trap of… falling in love!

Luigi and Elaine tried to separate the couple. The exciting ending is will they or how they will come back to each other.

The other cast of this romantic-comedy series are Keempee de Leon(as Mr. H), Epi Quizon, John Lapus, Rainier Castillo(as Donald), Sheena Halili, Chariz Solomon, and in very special roles, Ronaldo Valdez (Dr. Lazarin) and Ms. Pilita Corrales(as Mamita).

Panday Kids

Last night, GMA, Welcomed the new generation of superheroes called "Panday Kids" who will band together to protect the legendary sword and save the world from the clutches of evil.

Based on the all-time Filipino classic of Komiks King Carlo J. Caparas, "Ang Panday," this telefantasya features the adventures of three ordinary kids chosen by the age-old prophecy to fight and save humanity from the evil forces of Lizardo.

The main leads of the TV series are Julian Trono as Hadji, Sabrina Man as Charlie and Robert "Buboy" Villar as Oliver.

Playing the characters in the immortal world are Iza Calzado as Maria Makiling, Queen of the Engkantos; JC de Vera as Aureus, an eskrimador tasked by Maria Makiling to find the Panday Kids; Polo Ravales as Cicero, grandson of Lizardo; Ryan Eigenmann as Andreas, half-goat, half-human brother of Maria Makiling; Jackie Rice as Sarah, the beautiful engkanto loved by Aureus; Jose Manalo as Mambo, right-hand man to Lizardo; and Marvin Agustin as Lizardo, the King of Evil.

Adding star power are Gelli de Belen, Tirso Cruz III, Pen Medina, Marissa Delgado, Nanette Inventor, Bernard Palanca, Isabel Granada, Rich Asuncion, Akihiro Sato and Jolina Magdangal.

Panday Kids also features Christopher de Leon in a very special role as the original guardian of the Panday Sword.

In preparation for their roles, Julian, Sabrina and Robert underwent painstaking martial arts and sword-fighting lessons under Larry Ang, an international Wushu expert. Also the program’s stunt director, Larry, has directed and choreographed martial arts films in Hong Kong, Korea and China.

Under the helm of director Mike Tuviera, together with Suzette Doctolero as head writer, "Panday Kids" boasts of top-notch production values with production design created by Rodell Cruz and exceptional visual effects by Imaginary Friends and Santelmo Inc. Filipino rock band Parokya ni Edgar composed and interpreted the theme song.

Star Struck V Ultimate Survivors

GMA-7’s reality artista search “StarStruck V” revealed in its final judgment Sunday nighThe Ultimate Survivors, declaring 23-year-old Steven Silva and 16-year-old Sarah Lahbati as Ultimate Male and Female Survivors respectively.

Sarah Lahbati, Rocco Nacino, Enzo Pineda, Steven Silva and Diva Montelaba were the Final 5 of the biggest season of GMA-7’s original reality-based artista search, StarStruck V.

Steven and Sarah received the highest scores from the StarStruck Council, composed of Lolit Solis, Iza Calzado, and Floy Quintos. They also got the highest combined text and online votes from the viewers with Sarah garnering 94.6 percent and Steven getting 93.5 percent. Diva scored 91.4 percent, Enzo got 90.2 percent, while Rocco had an average of 88.3 percent.

Steven and Sarah each won P1.5 million cash prize and an exclusive contract with GMA Network.

From the time when StarStruck started, Sarah, Rocco, Enzo, Steven and Diva have emerged as strong and popular contenders armed with active supporters who have cheered and voted for them throughout the season. Yet, In the Final Judgement, Steven and Sarah's supporters overtook the other three giving them the desired crown.

Alvin and the Chimpmunks 2

I watched "Alvin and the Chipmunks 2" yesterday. It's a funny movie. 'Yung kakulitan ng mga chipmunks dun sa part 1 dala pa rin nila dito sa part 2. Naaksidente si Dave kaya iba yung nag-alaga sa kanila.Pumasok sila sa school. At siyempre, marami kalokohan na nangyari don.Tapos may dumating na mga babaeng Chimps na lalong nagpasaya. Ang favorite part ko eh nung sumakay si Alvin ng motorcycle para makuha yung mga girls, tapos sumakay sila ng remote-controlled helicopter.Yun na yung naging intro nila dun sa song number nila sa school competition At, siyempre, favorite ko rin yung part na kumanta si Charice before the Chipmunks arrive. I never expect to see her there. Sikat na talaga siya!
The movie is, generally, entertaining. You'll enjoy to watch it with the whole family.

Ang Magic Ng "The Last Prince"

Nawiwili akong manood ng "The Last Prince". Why? Nakakatuwa kasi kung paano nila ipinapasok sa story yung iba't ibang highlights ng mga Fairy Tales; tulad ng sapatos ni Cinderella, yung Beanstalk, may Genie in the Bottle, yung apple ni Wicked Queen, yung Frog Prince at iba pa. May nagsasabi na corny daw 'yon. But me, I find it really cute! I am looking forward nga na makita sina Lara at Almiro na nakasakay sa flying carpet in the future!
